Located in the heart of Washington, DC on Pennsylvania Avenue, the United States Navy Memorial honors, recognizes, and celebrates the men and women of the Sea Services—Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine—past, present, and future.

From live concerts with the U.S. Navy Band to moving wreath-laying ceremonies, educational programs, and virtual speaker series with naval leadership, we bring the story of American Sailors  to life.

Concerts on the Avenue Spend a summer evening on the Navy Memorial Plaza with the full U.S. Navy Band our Concerts on the Avenue. Join us for live music in a setting that blends tradition, community, and the spirit of the Sea Services.

In the event of rain or inclement weather, the Full U.S. Navy Band concerts will be moved indoors.

Performances marked with an asterisk (*) are Navy Band ensembles and will be cancelled if weather conditions are unfavorable.

If You're Attending In-Person - Plan Your Visit

  • Address: 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW
  • Nearest Metro: The closest Metro stop is Navy Memorial–Archives (Yellow/Green Line).
  • Start Time: Wreath-Laying Ceremonies Will Start at 10:30 AM (unless otherwise noted) and last for 30-40 minutes
  • If you’re running behind (it happens!): You’re still welcome to come by. The wreath will be moved to inside for you to pay your respects, and our Visitor Center will be open until 5:00 PM
  • Inclement Weather Plan: In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved inside to the Arleigh and Roberta Burke Theatre, located in our Visitor Center.
