You're invited to RSVP for the livestream of the CPO Pinning Ceremonies taking place at the Navy Memorial, celebrating the advancement of the Navy's finest First Class Petty Officers to the esteemed rank of Chief Petty Officer. Join us as the newest Chief Petty Officers in the National Capital Region are honored with the traditional pinning of their anchors in a ceremony held at the Navy Memorial. This significant milestone marks a key moment in their careers and the proud history of our U.S. Navy.

  • Nearest Metro: The closest Metro stop is Navy Memorial–Archives (Yellow/Green Line).
  • Start Time: Wreath-Laying Ceremonies Will Start at 1:00 PM (unless otherwise noted) and last for 30-40 minutes
  • If you’re running behind (it happens!): You’re still welcome to come by. Our Visitor Center and National Chief's Mess exhibit will be open until 5:00 PM
  • Inclement Weather Plan: In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved inside to the Arleigh and Roberta Burke Theatre, located in our Visitor Center.
